Conversations for Change with Becky Mundt
Coming Home to Yourself — Reclaiming Your Power, Your Wholeness & Your Place in the World
About this episode
What does it really mean to take up our own space in the world—to be fully present, fully ourselves, and unapologetically at home in who we are?
In this episode of Conversations for Change, Becky explores the journey of reclaiming the parts of ourselves we've gradually learned to abandon, and what becomes possible when we begin to trust ourselves enough to occupy our own lives fully.
We arrive in this world without questioning our right to be here. As young children, we naturally express ourselves, take up space, and engage with life without constantly wondering whether we're good enough, worthy enough, or acceptable to others.
But somewhere along the way, experiences of fear, shame, rejection, and disappointment can teach us to shrink. We begin looking outside ourselves for permission, approval, and direction, slowly losing touch with the wholeness that was ours from the beginning.
Drawing on her lifelong exploration of consciousness, healing, and shamanic practice, Becky reflects on how we can begin calling those lost parts of ourselves home.
From recognizing the subtle ways we give away our power to revisiting painful childhood experiences with the compassion and understanding of our adult selves, she explores how healing can become a process of remembering rather than fixing.
And while this journey begins within, it doesn't happen in isolation. Relationships, mentors, community, and the loving reflections of others can help us recognize our patterns, celebrate our progress, and learn to trust ourselves again.
As we become more fully present in our own lives, something remarkable begins to change. We no longer need to define ourselves through blame, fear, or the expectations of others. We become freer to love, to create, and to participate in the world from a place of greater clarity and wholeness.
Perhaps a more beautiful world begins with a simple but profound invitation:
Let's stop abandoning ourselves. Let's bring ourselves home—so we can bring the whole world home.
